2024: The Year of Airport Sandwiches, Audacious Ideas and Grit.

If there were trophies for caffeine intake, frequent flyer miles, and pulling off crazy ideas, Canopy Creative would need a bigger shelf.

2024 has been one hell of a year, a whirlwind of big projects, bigger ideas, and enough air miles to give Chris Dimopoulos and I our own airline lounge. So. Before we dive into 2025, let’s reflect on the magic, the mayhem, and the milestones that got us here.

We Didn’t Just Show Up.....We Levelled Up

Next-Gen Training Experiences Classrooms? They’re so 2010. This year, we worked with training organizations to create VR and AR-powered learning experiences that don’t just teach, they immerse. Because the best way to learn is to live it.

AI That Makes Sense Complex ideas can feel like trying to solve a Rubik’s cube blindfolded covered in honey in a room full of bees. But this year, we turned advanced concepts into AI-driven, visual storytelling that’s easy to grasp, cuts down on development time, and saves serious dollars.

Corporate Videos That Don’t Suck You know those dry, soul-sucking corporate videos that make you wish you were anywhere else? Yeah, we didn’t make those. Instead, we delivered fresh, engaging and cinematic video content that told real stories, connected with audiences, and (dare I say) got people excited.

Immersive, Boundary-Pushing Tech Whether it was creating festive magic for The Wundrful World of Christmas in Sydney or debuting SPARC our next-gen digital signage platform to the world, we didn’t just create experiences and platforms.

We built worlds and created opportunities. Seamlessly blending creativity and technology to turn wild and bold ideas into a reality and fill a significant gap in a market ready for disruption.

The Great Air Mile Marathon of 2024

This year, Chris and I traveled more than Santa on Christmas Eve. LA, Vegas, Singapore, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide you name it, we probably drank an overpriced airport coffee there. 100K+ miles later we should consider starting our own loyalty program....

Back at HQ: Growth Mode Activated

Melbourne HQ was a hive of activity this year. Our team leveled up, growing in size and capability. A standout moment? Welcoming Shawn Marinakis to the Senior Leadership Team as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and Partner. Steering this rocketship takes more hands, and Shawn’s expertise has been a game-changer already.

So, What’s Next for 2025?

If 2024 was about showing up, then 2025 is about going bigger, bolder, and further than ever.

More immersion—pushing the boundaries of VR, AR, and interactive experiences.

More innovation—combining creativity with emerging tech to redefine what’s possible.

More impact—helping brands, businesses, and communities connect in powerful new ways.

Looking ahead to 2025, I can promise you this: we’re just getting started.

If 2024 was the year that challenged us, then 2025 will be the year we challenge.

So, as we close out the year, take a breath. Celebrate the wins, no matter how small. Hug your people. Drink something bubbly. And rest up. Because next year’s going to be even bigger.
